TDMA and Analog networks in the United States are currently being upgraded to another technology. Unfortunately, TDMA and Analog phones are not compatible with the new network changes and therefore must be upgraded.
The Federal Communications Commission, also known as the FCC, is aware that all cellular telephone companies within the United States will no longer be obligated to provide TDMA or Analog service. TracFone's target date for migrating TDMA and Analog customers is February 18, 2008. As this date approaches, TDMA/ANALOG phones will suffer service problems, such as non-service areas, loss of voicemail, caller ID, and battery life. These new network changes will provide many advantages, such as better voice quality, digital features and extended battery life.
